This week, we were introduced to the different data chart types and their purposes, in what areas or data should they be used and how they can have a positive effect on the audience whom are exposed to the data.
Me personally, I have never knew that data types where an important item in design, although we have been told that handling data will be more popular within years and that there is a high possibility of us designers needing to know how to visualise it, which makes me excited for new challenges that I will be facing in the coming weeks with my own data dashboard projects.
We as a class have briefly touched on the historic times, ancient times, and how they were collecting data which has intrigued me, therefore I am willing to do further research on how our ancestors have exactly collected data.
This week I dove into further research on how our ancestors have been collecting or storing data without the use of modern technology. Being new to the world and being exposed to new habitats and life around us, they have decided to pass on information or thoughts through drawings on clay tablets for further generations to know. This is quite exciting to see now that we are able to compare our lifestyles together and how much we as a race have developed.
