This week we have covered informative information on how t achieve a clean and effective user interface by looking at the principles of user interfaces. These contained a list on what must be done to achieve an effective and well working UI for users then to use such as alignment of the content shown and given on the screen.
This has certainly helped me to do a recap on my music app and make sure the alignment is consistent and effective for the users eye, not to many large or small gaps, consistency is key. Although it made me question my colour scheme, as colours are the soul of the brand and help to convey emotions that the brand is trying to make the user feel.
Therefore I have created couple of prototypes of my music application with different colours to see which suits the best and which gives off the energy better, the original colours (black yellow white) or the new used colours.
Through looking at these and analysing them hard, yellow gives off the energetic feeling that I am pursuing in the music application, therefore I will stick to it and continue designing with the original colours.
