What is kerning?

Kerning is a typographic element that is used to make the text or lettering look more visually pleasing to the users or viewers of the original typeface. Kerning technique adjusts the spacing between 2 or more letters to make it look like they fill eachother or mirror eachother e.g. WA, VA.
