The first task we got set was to create and list atleast 5 banking app name ideas, and place them into miro. Having the time to think about not 1 but 5 name ideas has certainly helped me to be more open minded about the possibilities of the application brand I will be building.

On my main banking app name ‘Beezy’ it got well reflected and resonated with many students and our teacher as it is a singular short word, feels light-hearted and describes the app easily ‘Bee’ / fast service and it can be read and perceived as ‘Be easy’ when read.

Creating User Personas

The problem I am facing right now is with the font downloading. The process of downloading the font is positive and easy, although once I am on Illustrator it shows that only 1 of the font from the typeface is available, the one that allows me to use is ‘Akzidenz Grotesk Light’.

I will begin to create the user persona, first of all I will be sketching the idea of where to place the images and listed sections that I want to include. After I am complete, I will detail the user persona, lastly I will try to fix the problem with the typeface and re change the words that need to be bolder.

After transferring the photoshop file even to my laptop and trying to install Akzidenz typeface on it, it has not worked therefore the ‘light’ version of the font will be the only visible one used.

Reflection

This week has been interesting as we begin to move into really thinking about our target audience and what will they be able to relate within our brand, even choosing the brands name was extremely important as it must sound catchy and rememberable.

I enjoyed this week and finally managed to complete my User personas for my branding process, this shall help me in future stages of my brand development.
