For this project, a landing page must be created, therefore the first step I will take, will be looking at websites of my competitors.
First impression on your brand will always stay with the users, the first emotions or thoughts they gained in a couple of seconds into looking at your product or values will be remembered. Monzo creates a good first impression on their website through the clear bold use of statement ‘’Banking made easy’’.
The user is exposed and attracted to this statement almost instantly due to its positioning and colour choices which reflect on the brand.
Monzo like any other competitors, try to sell their features and excite the users about what they can gain from using the brands specific application. This has a huge effect on the user as the information design about the features is clean and easy to read, making the user feel that they will gain the same experience once using these features.
Monzo offers the users to look at the current ranks within the top banking applications, in providing the overall service quality in both Great Britain & Northern Ireland.
This is a great introduction statement to consider as the new users will be aware of the high quality that your bank is able to provide for them and give them another reason to why they should use your brand instead of others, as they will look at the competitors and wonder what you are doing better than them to claim the first or second place.
Like many other websites that provide this feature, Monzo does aswell. A simple interactivity feature, when a user hovers over the navigation panel, over a specific words e.g. Account, the component changes colour to let the user know it can be selected or navigated with.
